Wekiva River Players is Seminole County's longest-running theater ensemble, performing continuously since 1993. From its beginnings WRP has served the community, not just providing theatrical entertainment, education and opportunities, but also giving back creatively to support important local causes through donations of time, money and talent. Over the years we've worked with a variety of charitable organizations, including our recent and ongoing involvement with Music for Melons, raising funds for breast cancer research.
To date, WRP has performed more than 90 shows and has evolved into primarily an educational theater program. Each year we produce shows for elementary and middle school performers as well as a full-length production for our high school performers. Currently, WRP uses a variety of venues including the Lake Mary High School and Eastmonte Civic Center in Altamonte Springs. We are confident that with a great deal of hard work, combined with support from the community, we will continue to provide Central Florida with education, opportunities, and most importantly, theatrical entertainment that is second to none.
